Dahé is an award-winning businessperson, co-founder, managing director and lead designer of Design Works Apparel. Successfully operating the company since its inception in 2017, she has established the brand as a household name for sun safe shirts & fishing shirts in Townsville, North Queensland. She is very grateful to accumulated over 10,000 loyalty members and thousands of custom design clients.
Dahé loves challenges and new experiences. Her creative ideas and experimental approach build the brand to be always fresh, cutting-edge, and relatable.
Dahé studied basic coding and building websites when she was 9. Her interest in graphic design arose at that time, resulting in self-teaching Photoshop since then. She studied Bachelor of Industrial Design Engineering where she learned other programs, until her free spirit kicked in and she had to travel. She came to Australia to travel 13 years ago, from her home city, Seoul. She fell in love with North Queensland for its active lifestyle and abundant nature.
Dahé is also an emerging fine artist. She is currently studying Bachelor of Fine Art to expand her horizons. She believes that art is interconnected between different fields, for example, from fine art to graphic design, and to three-dimensional fashion design.
She loves to travel and enjoy the great outdoors. In her spare time, if she doesn’t work or paint, she gets on the stand-up paddle board or walks her dog.
Dahé has won multiple awards including Young Businessperson Award from Townsville Chamber of Commerce in 2022 and Australia Post Local Business Hero in 2023.
